About the Work
A commissioned piece for a family in Brampton who wanted a one-of-a-kind piece with a focus on the Golden Temple. This piece is unique as it combines mixed media including glass, paint, screen-printing, metal and resin. "It was truly one of the best pieces I have had the chance to create", Chahal said.
About the Artist - Aman Chahal
Aman Chahal is a self-taught local artist. He has been in the design field throughout his years in university and held his first official exhibits in 2018. These include a solo exhibition at the Art Square Gallery in Toronto and a group exhibition at PAMA. Aman's work has a strong focus on glass, which can be seen consistently across the majority of his pieces. He works with glass for its intricacy and strength. Transforming glass, in both form and texture allows him to express a connection between the world we live in and everything within it. His overall style is Mixed Media as he enjoys adding a variety of materials into his works including glass, metals, various paints, resins and fabrics.
