Karolyn Smardz Frost, educator, archaeologist, and author of prize winning books, Steal Away Home and I've Got a Home in Glory Land, joins us for an afternoon of conversation. She will discuss her research, process and books. Karolyn will also be available for a book signing after her talk. Her books can be purchased in the PAMA store. Avro Arrow 60th Anniversary of Black Friday Panel Discussion

Thursday, Feb 28 | 7 - 8:30 p.m.
February 2019 marks the 60th anniversary of Black Friday, when the centre of Canada's aviation industry shut down. Join the conversation about this historic date with Heritage Mississauga's Matthew Wilkinson, engineer and former Avro Arrow employee James Claude Sherwood, and more. Connections Art & Book Club (free admission to this program)

Literature and visual arts connect in this distinctive book club. Join the discussion with PAMA and the Brampton Library staff with this month's choice The Underground Railroad by Colson Whitehead. Archives 101 Teachers Workshop (Free admission to this program)

Thursday, Apr 4 | 4 - 6 p.m.
Calling all teachers and teacher candidates! Primary sources are extremely important to helping students piece together events from the past. Learn the ins and outs of the PAMA archives from our Senior Archivist and how you can use the archives as a resource in your classrooms. Get a first hand look at the treasures we hold in our vaults! KNIT@PAMA

Thursday Nights, 6 - 8 p.m. 
Drop-in for an evening of knitting and conversation. Beginners and experienced knitters are welcome. Supplies and knitting support are included. All donated knitted items go to various Peel charities in Brampton, Caledon and Mississauga. Free admission to this activity only.
