PAMA Kids and Family

PAMA is a place for children to explore their artistic talents and learn about Peel's history and heritage. We offer a variety of workshops, programs and camps suitable for children ages 6 to 12+. Caregivers must accompany children unless otherwise noted.


Family Fun Activities

Saturdays and Sundays, 1 - 4:30 p.m.
Guide your family through art projects that inspire creativity. These drop-in activities are included in general admission. Members are free.

Culture Days (Free Admission Weekend) 

Talk, read and create in celebration of Culture Days & Doors Open! Literature, methods of communication and art will be explored in a variety of fun-filled activities for the whole family.

  • Friday, Sept. 27, 6 - 8 p.m. - Snuggle Up & Read with the Festival of Literary Diversity (FOLD): Put on your PJs and bring your favourite stuffed friend. Our littlest book lovers are taking over PAMA for an evening of bedtime stories, songs and quiet activities. Reserve your spot now.
  • Saturday, Sept. 28, 10 - 4:30 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 29, 1 - 4:30 - Communication Station: Explore different methods of communication over the years from rotary telephones to typewriters and old cellphones. Convey a secret message with Morse Code artwork.

Art & Tots (Age 18 months and above)

Join us for parent/guardian & tot exploration with Art & Tots. Each month, participants will engage in a multi-sensory experience featuring a different book, active play and a fine-motor based art project.

Stroller Tours (0 - 18 months)

Select Wednesdays, 10:30 - 11:30 a.m.
Explore the many works featured at PAMA in monthly tours designed for parents/guardians and little ones. Following the tour, engage socially while little ones participate in group sensory play.

Halloween at the Boo-seum

Spook your way into Halloween with fun activities for the whole family as you explore PAMA collections, exhibitions and create your own artwork.

Spooky Stories Tour

Saturday, October 26, 1 & 3 p.m.

Explore the history of PAMA with guided story-based tours of the jail, courthouse and grounds. Geared towards a family audience, these tours will educate and excite with spooky stories and fun for all ages.
