BRAMPTON, ON (March 26, 2025) - Peel Art Gallery, Museum and Archives (PAMA) in partnership with the Sikh Heritage Month Foundation, presents a month of reflection and celebration in downtown Brampton. Enjoy free admission throughout April, courtesy of the Sikh Foundation of Canada.
New Exhibition
Challenging the Darkness | Jaswant Singh Khalra April 5 – June 29 It has been 30 years since the enforced disappearance of Shaheed Bhai Jaswant Singh Khalra, a Sikh activist who exposed human rights abuses in 1990s Punjab. Through rare documents, testimonies, artwork, and photographs, this exhibition honours his legacy and serves as a beacon of justice, shining through the darkness he once challenged.

April 5, 1 - 4 p.m. Join us as we unveil Sikh Heritage Month’s Challenging the Darkness Exhibition.
Calligraphy Workshop: Part One and Part Two
April 6 & 19, 1 - 3:30 p.m. Practice the ancient technique of handwriting Gurbani, passed down for centuries since the time of Guru Arjun Dev Ji.
April 12, 2 – 4 p.m. This session will explore the origins, history, and evolution of Sikh music from Guru Nanak Dev Ji to the present day.
April 20, 2 – 4 p.m. This youth seminar will focus on activism and community leadership, drawing inspiration from Sikh leaders like Bhai Jaswant Singh Khalra Ji.
April 26, 5 - 9 p.m. Join us for a series of discussion panels and performances to mark the end of Sikh Heritage Month 2025.
