About the Peel Archives Collection

What we collect

Peel Archives is the official archival repository of Peel Region and the Cities of Brampton and Mississauga, and the Town of Caledon.

We collect and preserve government and non-government records that document the history and development of the area and its people.

Our archival collections cover records from the old County of Peel, the current Peel Region, and the numerous historic communities within Peel’s boundaries.

Our records date from the early 19th century to the 21st century.

The Archives also holds the extensive papers of William Perkins Bull, a Peel lawyer, businessman, and local historian. His research files compiled in the 1930s cover many topics related to Peel’s pre-county days.
