Friends of PAMA Advisory Board

PAMA is governed with input from an advisory board and relies on these dedicated community volunteers to provide guidance and advocacy for arts and heritage. The Friends of PAMA Advisory Board is a registered charitable organization.
The Friends of PAMA serves PAMA in several areas: to encourage community connectivity, to increase PAMA brand awareness, to support the growth of programming and collections, to research and acquire additional financial resources and to assist PAMA in meeting goals and objectives.

2025-2026 advisory board members
Brandon Corazza, Co-Chair
Brandon Corazza is a Collections Specialist with a background in art history, curation, and collections management. With practical experience in the museum and fine art sector, he is responsible for the care of a corporate art collection in Toronto. Brandon brings a commitment to conservation, professional standards, and fostering meaningful connections within the community.
Ismat Jahan, Co-Chair
Ismat Jahan, a CPA with expertise in finance, governance, and systems, champions innovation and effective nonprofit management. Her career began co-curating a student exhibition at PAMA, fostering confidence and creativity. Skilled in navigating diverse teams, Ismat supports inclusive organizations through collaboration, transparency, and insights from data to strengthen communities.
Gagan Battu
Gagan Battu is a middle school French teacher with the Peel District School Board and a York University graduate. She encourages creativity in students and fosters community engagement through food drives, concerts, and fundraisers. An active Sikh Heritage Month committee member, Gagan bridges classroom education with civic participation.
Sandra Iskandar
Sandra Iskandar, a Montreal-born architect and educator, connects art, architecture, and community. As Lead Architectural Educator with No.9 Contemporary Art & The Environment and Arts Educator with Inner City Angels, she fosters collaboration and social impact. Founder of Sandra Iskandar Architect, she is the Architect of Record for Clear Water Farm’s Youth Engagement Centre.
Sharifa Foreman
Sharifa Foreman (she/they) is a Museum and Culture specialist with eight years of experience in education, collections, and curatorial projects. They have curated exhibitions for BAND Gallery, the Erland Lee Museum, and York University. Currently, Community Engagement and Marketing Coordinator at Glanbrook Community Services, Sharifa connects arts, culture, and community engagement.
Gurpartap Singh Toor (appointed) Regional Councillor, Brampton, Wards 9 and 10
Councillor Gurpartap Singh Toor is a construction entrepreneur and city-builder who served as Special Assistant to former Brampton Mayor Linda Jeffrey. He supports flood relief, refugee aid, and vaccination initiatives while enjoying family, lakes, and horseback riding. Residing in Ward 10 with his wife, he remains dedicated to community service and civic engagement.
Elaine Kwan
Elaine Kwan is a registered teacher and certified International Baccalaureate educator with master’s degrees in Applied English Linguistics and Global Public Policy. A former Executive Officer in Hong Kong’s public sector, she focuses on youth education, empowerment, and arts engagement. Elaine contributes her experience to PAMA, supporting inclusive cultural and educational initiatives.
Nisarg Vrajlal
Nisarg Vrajlal is an Information Management executive at 1CM Inc., specializing in data analytics and supply chain optimization. As an advocate for arts and culture, he has contributed to marketing and fundraising for community organizations. Nisarg combines professional expertise with civic engagement to support creative initiatives and strengthen communities.

Creative Expressions program
Creative Expressions is a unique program, supported by the Friends of PAMA Advisory Board, that serves children and adults with either mental or physical challenges and engages them through artistic means. Community organizations can apply to have the Creative Expressions program come to their locations. The program provides workshops that are designed to help foster creativity and personal self-expression through a variety of artistic media.
We were successful in gaining financial support from the Brampton and Caledon Community Foundation. Our sincere thank you to these organizations for supporting this well-received program.
