Whether you’re exploring PAMA for the first time or returning to discover something new, our galleries offer a welcoming space for all visitors.

From families and curious learners to art enthusiasts, quiet seekers, and history lovers, each person can experience PAMA in a way that feels meaningful to them.

We’ve designed our spaces, programs, and amenities to support a comfortable and inspiring visit, no matter how you prefer to engage with the art, archives, and stories around you.

Directions and parking

  • There are 3 accessible free parking spaces.
  • Take a moment to explore what’s showing in our galleries right now.
  • Quiet seating areas with benches are located throughout the site. You are welcome to feed your infant where you are comfortable.
  • Infant changing tables are available in washrooms throughout the site.
  • Some light snacks and water are for sale. There are no restaurants onsite.
  • PAMA is an accessible facility, including ground-level entrances and elevator access to all floors.
  • PAMA is a Peel Regional Police Safe Place.
  • Children under 12 years old must be accompanied at all times by a person who is at least 13 years of age.

What to expect

  • Upon arrival, head to the Information Desk to pay admission and pick up a map to guide your visit.
  • Coatrooms and lockers available onsite to store your coats, large bags, umbrellas, and other items. We are not responsible for lost or stolen items.
  • Some — but not all — exhibitions have hands-on items.
  • To help you feel at ease during your visit, our information desks offer a variety of sensory items you’re welcome to borrow.
  • The PAMA campus is made up of historic buildings with unique architectural features. Expect changes in lighting, sound, flooring surfaces, and architecture during your visit.

Visitor items to bring

  • Headphones or earphones.
  • Service animals are welcome. Dogs or other pets are not permitted inside the PAMA buildings.
  • Strollers and wheelchairs are welcome in our exhibition spaces. Wagons can be left in the coatroom. Wheelchairs are available to borrow through the Information Desk.
  • Use pencils for sketching or note-taking in the galleries. Markers, pens, paints, charcoal, and easels are not permitted.
  • Enjoy snacks and beverages anywhere outside of exhibition spaces. No food or drinks are allowed in the galleries.

Capturing your visit

  • Photos are allowed for personal use except where indicated. Do not use flash, tripods, or selfie-sticks.
  • Commercial or professional photography must be arranged in advance. please contact us for more information.
  • We encourage you to snap and share your visit. Tag us @visitpama on social.

Caring for our collections together

  • Help protect the art and artifacts. The art and artifacts are fragile: do not touch them or lean on exhibit cases or walls.
  • Help us to keep our collections safe by enjoying the art and artifacts with your eyes only. Hands-on activities are available in some exhibitions.
  • Light can cause damage to art and artifacts. To reduce risks to the collection, the lights in the gallery are kept at specific levels.
