Lieutenant Floyd Everard Graydon

Floyd Everard Graydon was born and raised in Streetsville, now part of Mississauga.

Before World War I was declared, he volunteered with the 36th Peel Battalion. Floyd was 39 years old when he enlisted in the Canadian Expeditionary Force 203rd Battalion. But he lied about his date of birth to make himself appear 3 years younger.

He arrived in England in November 1916 and was later transferred to the 52nd Battalion in France.

Little information is recorded about Floyd's death, other than he was killed in action on August 28, 1918, and is buried in Vis-en-Artois British Cemetery, Haucourt, Pas de Calais, France.
