World of Jazz Festival: Live Jazz and Paint Night
Friday, September 11, 7 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Enjoy an inspiring evening of live jazz and creativity with the Duncan Wilson Trio. Tour Abstract Art in Canada, then create an abstract painting guided by a PAMA educator.
No experience required. Part of B-Jazzed’s World of Jazz Festival.

Abstract painting workshop
Thursday, September 17, 6:30 to 9:00 p.m.
Join Gurdeep Singh for a hands-on abstract art workshop inspired by Canadian painter Jack Bush. Explore colour, shape, and layering through guided exercises, demonstrations, and experimentation with acrylic and mixed media.
Create your own expressive 16” x 20” abstract painting while discovering the power of non-representational art.

Poetry, paint and the female perspective: An abstract art workshop
Thursday, October 8, 6:30 to 9:00 p.m.
Explore the connections between history, poetry, and visual art in this Women’s History Month program. Following an exhibition tour with Michelle Gewurtz and creative writing prompts led by poet Andrea Josic, participants will create an abstract acrylic painting inspired by their own original poetry.

Colours in rhythm: Painting to Latin sounds
Saturday, October 10, 2 to 4:00 p.m.
Celebrate Latin Heritage Month through music and art. Enjoy a live performance by Latintrain musicians Nelson Maragoto and Greg Noguera, then create an abstract painting inspired by rhythm, colour, and movement with artist Carla Gonzalez-Casanova.
Presented in partnership with the Hispanic Canadian Arts and Cultural Association.

Fashion illustration workshop
Saturday, October 17, 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Join Jacqueline Halstead for an engaging exploration of African textile traditions and fashion history. Using patchwork painting techniques, participants will create an original mood board while learning how pattern, colour, and fabric can express culture, identity, and storytelling.

An Evening of Ghost Stories
Thursday, October 29, 7 to 8:30 p.m.
Join storyteller Margo MacDonald of The Haunted Walk of Toronto for an evening of ghost stories featuring eerie tales from across the GTA and Ontario, including PAMA. Stay for a Q&A about the paranormal and her book, A Curious Presence.

Connections art and book club with Brampton Library
Thursday, November 5, 7 to 8:30 p.m.
Join Brampton Library and PAMA for a discussion of the book Feast Your Eyes by Myla Goldberg. The book discussion will be paired with a tour of the exhibition Cameras in Focus, which explores how the photos we capture create moments of meaning.
